Beverly Ellen Harrell

Beverly Ellen Harrell was born July 1, 1940 in Stillwater, OK to Floyd and Vera Davis. She grew up in Comanche, OK. She married Gerold Lee Harrell of Luther, OK on June 3, 1960 after meeting at Central State College. She also taught classes at Rose State College from 1978 – 2006. After retirement, Beverly continued to be involved in school and church one day a week until Feb. 2016.

She was preceded in death by her husband Gerold Sr. and two sons, Roy and Jr. Harrell. Beverly is survived by two grandchildren, Cameron Harrell and Courtney Harrell of Oklahoma City and daughter-in-law, Linda Harrell of Eufaula, OK. She also has a brother, Bill Davis and wife, Edith of Duncan, OK. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Beverly had a love for numbers and a passion for teaching. She could rattle off any dates and facts down to the exact numbers all from memory recall. She was so excellent with numbers the Board of Education had her participate in text books to make sure the mathematical calculations were accurate. Even after retirement from Rose State College, Beverly continued to influence and educate students through tutoring. Anyone who knew Beverly on a personal level got to experience her generosity and caring heart. She hosted many a birthday, Thanksgiving, or any celebration in which to invite family and friends for food, fun, and festivities at her home in Luther. Having her loved ones around brought Beverly great joy and most events were captured on film (talk about Kodak Moments)!

She was always happy to give to those in need. Beverly had such a strong faith in the Lord she attended and supported three different churches. She is a kind-hearted soul that will truly be missed. There was no doubt in her mind where she was going and the loved ones she would see. May she rest in peace with those loved ones in heaven along with Jesus Christ.
