Betty J. Westfall

Betty Jane (Amrine) Westfall of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma went to her heavenly home on April 29, 2013 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born to Mary Ellen (Hicks) Amrine and James Jackson Amrine on September 29, 1928. Born a twin, she also married a twin, Dr. Lavern W. Westfall on May 18, 1946 in Pawnee County at the Justice of the Peace.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lavern; her 21 year old daughter Judith; her twin brother Eddie Amrine; and her younger sister Christine Venum. Betty and Lavern spent 65 years together before Lavern left her September 26, 2011 to be with the Lord.

Four children, Linda, Judith, Carole, and Larry were born to these amazing and wonderful parents while living in Tryon, Carney, Omega, Temple and Nicoma Park Oklahoma.

Survivors include; children: Linda Sue Holland of Norman; Carole Lynn Douglas of Oklahoma City; and Larry Wayne Westfall of Oklahoma City. Grandchildren include: Dr. Gregory D. Holland of Norman; Dr. Kristin K. Thorp of Oklahoma City; and Derek Francis of Wichita Falls, Texas. Great Grandchildren: Liam Alexander Holland; Savannah Lynne Holland; and Ivy Lynn Thorp; and brother, Jackie Amrine of Goltry, Oklahoma.

Betty and Lavern spent years as active members of the First Baptist Church of Nicoma Park.

Funeral services were held at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:00 AM followed by interment at 1:30 PM at Carney Cemetery; Carney, Oklahoma.
