Betty was the only child of Pauline & Gorman Adkins, who she lovingly nurtured and cared for.
She graduated from Central High and attended Oklahoma A&M (now OSU). Her business career was with First National Bank.
She was a devoted member of St. Lukes Methodist Church.
She spent years of her holidays serving the needy at community dinners.
Bettys was the epitome of kindness and was completely selfless.
She handled her illness graciously, which typified her demeanor.
She is survived by cousins Laura Moody and Monty & Pat Monteith.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m, Thursday, February 14, at Memorial Park Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2013, at Memorial Park Historic Cemetery Chapel.
