Barbara Jo Gooch

Barbara received her Bachelor's Degree from Oklahoma City University.

In her earlier years, Barbara met Dean Taylor. The two were married and they had two daughters Tami and Sheli.

Throughout her life, Barbara held multiple careers. She worked as a school teacher, a social worker with Oklahoma DHS. Although her greatest accomplishment was working as a secretary to the State Insurance Commissioner for most of her career.

Barbara was a member of Alpha Chi Omega Sorority at Oklahoma City University. She was active in tennis and became a state champion. Barbara not only played tennis, but also had a green thumb and was an avid gardener. She also enjoyed animals, especially dogs.

Later in her life, Barbara married Stan Gooch.

She was survived by daughters Sheli (Taylor) DuCom and husband David and Tami Lynne (Taylor) Krise and husband Steve, grandchildren Lauren Krise, Candace Grantham, and Brooke Ogle and husband Jimmy, great grandchildren Emma, Brody, and Lily Ogle, sister Ginny (Buckley) Palmer and husband Rodney, and nieces, nephew, and other extended family members.

Barbara was preceded in death by husband Stan Gooch, brothers Billy and Pat Buckley, and Dean Taylor.

A graveside service for Barbara will be held Friday, November 11, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13400 North Kelley, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
