Barbara Clarese Hubbard Allee

Barbara Clarese Hubbard Allee, 95, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2024. She was born on May 12,1928, in Strong City, Oklahoma, to Lois and Claude Hubbard. Raised in Western Oklahoma and born into a farm and ranching family, her parents were distinguished educators with her mother serving as a school principal and her father as a school superintendent. Barbara, the eldest of four children, was not afraid of hard work and excelled academically in school.

She graduated from Crawford High School and pursued an accounting degree from Southwestern University in Weatherford, Oklahoma, where she met and married the love of her life, Bobby Gene Allee. They moved to Oklahoma City after college and raised the joy of their lives, son Robert Lynn Allee. Barbara and Bobby were happily married more than forty years, until Bobby's death in 1988.

Barbara enjoyed a successful 60-year-career as an accountant in the oil and gas industry leading her to Dallas, Texas, and Portland, Oregon, on special assignments. She was involved in Executive Women International (EWl) as well as other civic and philanthropic organizations.

She enjoyed playing bridge and traveling the world, especially cruising. However, Barbara's biggest joy was spending time with her family and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Lois and Claude, husband Bobby, brother Harold Hubbard, and sister Beverly Georgia. She is survived by her son Robert, son-in-law Greg Story, and brother Johnny Hubbard, as well as several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Barbara's elegant sense of style, positive attitude, and sharp wit and intellect will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will take place from 4:00-6:00 pm, Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home. A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 18, 2024 at Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper Funeral Home 6600 Broadway Extension, OKC OK 73116. In lieu of flowers please contribute to the charity of your choice.
