Arlene Mae Schultz, 94, went to be with the Lord on Feb. 16, 2015. She was born to Arlo and Edna Bedwell in Okeene, OK, on Sept. 17, 1920. She married her husband of 68 years, Oscar C. Schultz, on Aug. 17, 1942 in Walterboro, SC. Arlene enjoyed her Britton Baptist Church family where she was a member for 54 years. She taught Sunday School for many years before retiring as a secretary and accountant for a public relations publishing company offering non-denominational religious printed materials.
Preceded in death by her father, Arlo, mother, Edna, husband, Oscar, brothers Cleades and George Bedwell, sister, Naomi (Bedwell) Schultz, and son-in-law, Bill Martinek, Sr.
She is survived by daughter, Karen Martinek; son, Sam Schultz; son, Steve Schultz and wife, Susan. Grandchildren: Billy Martinek, Jr. and wife; Tina, Suzanne Hawkins and husband, Jimmy; Amy Gibson and husband, Ben; and Lindsay Vidrine and husband, Michael. Great-grandchildren; Luke and Jack Hawkins, Grayson Vidrine, Holten and Kayla Gibson, and Douglas Kinney and Mitchell Rader.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 19, with the family present 6-8pm at Memorial Park Funeral Home 13313 N. Kelley. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Feb. 20, at 2:00pm at Britton Baptist Church, 1141 W. Britton Rd., OKC with burial following at Rose Hill Cemetery.
