Argyle Doyle Eary, January 10, 1940-August 24, 2023, deeply loved his wife Donna, children Ray and Joanne, and his grandchildren Jacob, Abigail, Isabel, William, and Emily. He was 83 and active to the end. He frequently told his doctors he "did everything he was big enough to do." With endless sayings and anecdotes, Argyle could win anyone over to his side with quick and witty retorts on almost any topic. Born in Weleetka, OK, and raised in Okemah with ten brothers and sisters, he joined the Air Force in 1959, resulting in a lifelong passion for airplanes. Argyle enjoyed living close to Tinker Air Force Base, watching planes fly over, and providing endless stories to anyone who would listen. Always good for a laugh, he excelled at being completely ordinary yet utterly original at the same time. He was equally at home in a shop, working on any project that came to mind. Argyle enjoyed watching each of his children and grandchildren perform in school music groups for over forty years, enjoying his last performance less than a week before his death. Argyle was surrounded by people who loved him and can rest in peace, knowing how much others cared for him and that he cared deeply in return.
