Anna Irene Burris Kidd

November 30, 1922 - August 30, 2015

Irene was born in Carney, Oklahoma to Charles F. Hayes, Sr. and Melissa Louisa (Hagar) Hayes.

She attended Putnam City Schools and was Valedictorian of her Senior Class. Irene continued her education at the University of Oklahoma, Bethany Nazarene College, and Oklahoma City University and attained master's degrees in both Psychology and in her true passion, Music. She taught music to many adults and children her entire life and was the director of her accordion band after college. Irene spoke French fluently and also taught French for a time.

Irene played the organ at the church she attended, Providence Church in Moore, and for many years at the Tulakes Baptist Church in Bethany. She also played for three different Rotary Clubs and was a Paul Harris fellow. She loved the Lord, her family and others with her sweet, gentle heart and beautiful soul!

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband - Jordan (Jay) Burris; son - Jay Dee Burris; great-grandson - Sebastian Burris; brother - Joe Hayes; and husband - Dean Kidd.

She is survived by her brother - Charles F. Hayes, Jr.; sister-in-law - Rosie Hayes; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Memorial service will be held on Tuesday September 8, 2015 at 10:00 am, Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK.
