Anita was born April 16, 1936 in Seagraves, Texas to parents John White and Velma Alice (Sutherlan) Anderson, and passed on May 29, 2024. While growing up she lived in Big Spring, Texas, where she completed high school and found the love of her life Robert Mallett. The couple moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1955. Anita and Robert were together for 57 years and had 2 children together whom they adored.
Anita loved to be active and enjoyed golfing, bowling, and most importantly keeping up with OKC Thunder. If she was not enjoying her hobbies, she was spending quality time with her children and grandchildren. Anita loved to cook and she made sure to pass her skills down to her children. She also loved to travel with her husband Bob, they created amazing memories traveling around the United States in their RV. A perfect day for Anita would be spending the day with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who lovingly called her Gamas. It always put a smile on her face when she was surrounded by her family.
Anita will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the chance to see how amazing she was. Though she may be gone, her spirit and memories will live on in those that she loved dearly.
She is now at peace and reunited with her husband and siblings, Johnnye Black, Doris Rink, Wanda Young and Gerald Anderson.
Anita is survived by her children Bob Mallett and wife, Elizabeth Mallett of Edmond, OK and Rissa Miller and husband, Tom Miller of Edmond, OK, grandsons, Chris and wife, Mandi Orcutt, Matt Orcutt, Grant Mallett, Clark and wife, Brooke Mallett, and granddaughter Brooke and husband, Chuck Thompson and great grandchildren Addyson, Dylan, Logan, Weston and Gavin, and 5 nieces and 3 nephews and fur baby Bella.
