Monette was born in Lexington, Oklahoma to Earl and Virgie (Coleman) Coles on April 5, 1943, the youngest of three children. She graduated from Lexington High School in 1961 and then attended Business School in Oklahoma City until 1962.
Monette was a long - time active member of the Spencer Road Freewill Baptist Church.
In 1966 she married Willard (Sam) Sneed. Monette was a homemaker who loved raising her two boys. She enjoyed helping with their little league football team, going on family trips, and going fishing with them. Monette’s greatest joy in life was being involved with her family and friends and helping others.
Monette was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Virgie Coles; brother, Wendall Coles; and brother Burle Coles. She is survived by her husband, Sam Sneed of Midwest City; sons, Richard Sneed of Midwest City; and Eugene Sneed and his wife Marla of Del City; and two grandchildren, Brianna and Joshua of Del City; in addition to many nephews, nieces, family members and friends.
A visitation for Monette will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday, February 14, 2022 at Bill Eisenhour NE Funeral Home, 8805 NE 23rd Street, Oklahoma City, OK 73141. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at Heartland Free Will Baptist Church, 17601 S. Santa Fe Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73170 with interment to follow at Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, OK.
