Alford “Al”, 62, of Newalla went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, September 8, 2011. Al was born on July 8, 1949 to Mildred Valentine in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma. Al served in the Army as an Airborne Ranger during the VietNam War earning two purple hearts and various other medals. He worked in the oil field and as a forklift operator for 23 years at Johnson Controls. Al found the love of his life in his wife and best friend, Regina. They had so much in common and enjoyed spending every minute together. His favorite hobbies included fishing, hunting and OU Football. Al was well known for his love of cooking. He made the greatest barbeque and enjoyed keeping his family and friends well fed. He loved his Family of Faith church family.
Al is survived by his loving wife, Regina of the home; eight children, Ray Broderick, Debbie Pierce, Darlene Broderick, Mike Broderick, Kathy Bush, Kevin Broderick, John Broderick and Theresa Broderick; Clarence “DAD” King and his wife, Pat; 17 Grandchildren; 14 Great-Grandchildren; Brothers & Sisters: Joyce , Roy & Ruby, Gloria, Carl & Catherine, Edith, J.C., Larry, Kim and Jim;
Aunt Tish Robinson; Uncle Billy Vann and many friends. Al was preceded in death by his Mother, Mildred; Aunt, Flora “Mom” and his sister Janice. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 3:00 pm at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel with interment to follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Newalla, OK with Pastors Claude Bryant and Pat Franks officiating.
