Albert Evans, owner of Albert Evans Piano Company, died September 19, 2011 after a short illness. Born January 6, 1930, in Kingfisher, Oklahoma, he was a founding member of The National Piano Technicians Guild, and was noted for his skill and artistry in rebuilding fine pianos. He and his wife, Millie, produced a family of musicians and enriched thousands of homes, churches and concert venues during 55 years in the piano business. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his wife, Millie and his youngest son, Mark Evans. He is survived by son Steve Evans and his wife Gloria of Oklahoma City, son Phillip Evans of Houston, daughter Elaine Evans Walters and her husband, Dale, also of Houston, Mark Evans wife Julie of Oklahoma City as well as nine beloved grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services will be conducted through Chapel Hill Funeral Home at Eagles’ Crest Fellowship, 5956 N.W. 23rd St., Oklahoma City, on Monday, September 26 at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to First Methodist Houston Music Department, 1320 Main St., Houston, Texas 77002.
