Albee R. Foye

His family moved to Wewoka, Oklahoma when he was in elementary school. After graduating from Wewoka High School he attended Oklahoma University where he played baseball and earned a BA in business. He then served in the Army during the Korean War.

On May 3, 1953 he married Retha Mae Wilkerson of Atwood, Oklahoma. They had two children, Michael Rew and Mary Beth. He worked for Mobile Oil Company as a sales representative for 12 years before going into business for himself. He and Retha worked together in their oil and gas business until they sold their business and retired in 1986.

He was a long time member of Mayfair Heights United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. He loved sports and especially enjoyed golf.

Survivors include his wife, Retha Mae Foye and daughter, Mary Beth Foye of Oklahoma City; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Rew Foye; brother, Martin Foye; and parents Albee Rew Foye, Sr. and Mary Foye.

A memorial fund has been set up in his honor with the United Methodist Foundation to benefit religion students at Oklahoma City University. If you wish to donate please mail gifts to 4201 N. Classen Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73118-2415.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 8701 Northwest Expressway, Oklahoma City, OK.
