Aaron Monroe Welch

Aaron Monroe Welch was born November 14, 1979 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Phillip Monroe Welch and Dorothy Ellen (Everly) Stiles. He would graduate from Putnam City Original in 1998 and received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.

A loving man with a big heart, he was a self-professed comic book nerd. His collection of comic books and action figures was second to none. According to his family, if they were to make a new season of “The Big Bang Theory” he’d fit right in. Superman and Spiderman were his top two favorite heroes, but he collected many different titles. When he wasn’t looking through the back issues, he was cheering on the New Orleans Saints, the Oklahoma Thunder, and the OU Sooners.

For Aaron, a perfect day would start late. He enjoyed sleeping in, getting to play with the dogs or going to visit one of his favorite comic book shops. He was always on the lookout for a new restaurant to try before enjoying a movie. Though no day would be complete without some delicious chocolate-chip cookies and a tall glass of milk – with one added ice cube.

Aaron entered into the kingdom of heaven, his battles finally ended, on October 14, 2022. His family will dearly miss his humor – a unique blend of sarcasm and quick, dry wit, never passing up the opportunity to tell a corny joke. He leaves a huge hole in so many hearts as his deep and unwavering love touched many lives.

He is preceded in death by his father, Phillip Monroe Welch, and beloved pups Dax and Skeeter.

To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his mother Ellen Stiles, step-father Larry Edward Stiles; his sisters Kimberly Trueblood, husband Tony, Elizabeth Wright, husband Clint; step-siblings Zac Boydstun, wife Jennifer, and Dana Johnston; three nieces, four nephews, and his sweet dog Peach.

A memorial service in Aaron’s honor will be held November 14, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Life Church Oklahoma City, 2001 N.W. 178th Street, Edmond, Oklahoma 73012.
