

Funeral services for William “Howard” Warren, age 65 of Morristown will be held on Wednesday (Jan 4, 2017) at 11:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. David Sheppard & Rev. Edgar Lacomb co-officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sunnyside Cemetery in Morristown.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday (Jan 3rd) from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Funeral Home. Howard passed away at his home on Saturday (Dec 31, 2016) surrounded by his loving family.
Surviving is his wife Sandra; a son Keith Warren & his wife Kara of Lisbon; two daughters Cheryl Warren of Canton and Lesli Warren of Plymouth, MA; 11 grandchildren Elija, Roxanne, Joseph, Maeve, Orion “Zell” & his wife Autumn, Hannah, Alice, Elwood, Leah, Caleb and Madeline; 1 great-grandson Carson; a brother John Willis Warren & his companion Gladys Sanford of Brier Hill; 6 sisters Judy Wright & her husband Ronald of Morristown, Linda Cutway of Rensselaer Falls, Sharon Logan of Norfolk, Barbara Turner & her husband Christian of Macomb, Susan Ekman & her husband Richard of Brier Hill and Katherine Gilmour & her husband Robert of Morristown.
Howard was predeceased by his parents Joseph & Alice Warren; siblings Robert Joseph Warren, David Gordon Warren and a sister Doris Caroline Bickelhaupt.
Howard was born on October 9, 1951 in Ogdensburg NY, a son of the late Joseph & Alice (Reynolds) Warren. He graduated from Morristown Central School in 1970, and began his longtime career with Wrights Marina where he worked for the next 19 years. Concurrent to the marina, he also worked on and off for Anchor Motors, Acco Brands and taught small engine repair at the Ogdensburg Correctional Facility. In 1990 Howard’s Hobby & Repair Shop became his fulltime occupation as the owner and operator of a boat repair and storage business.
His first marriage to Janet Sibley in 1973 ended, but he again found love and was married to Sandra Gibson in August of 1994.
Howard is a lifetime member of the Black Lake Fish & Game Club, S & B Hunting Club in Edwards, and the Harley Owners Group (HOG). He is also an active member in the JoBo Hunting Club in Morristown, a former member of the Shingle Pond Hunting Club in Russell, a member of the Seaway Cruisers Car Club, and a member of the Black Lake Masonic Lodge # 319 for the past 32 years holding the title of Grand Sword Bearer and also a member of the DePeyster Masons. He also belonged to the Longshoreman’s Union, and served as a Village of Morristown Trustee for 9 years, and Councilman for the past 11 years.
Howard was a good man, he enjoyed life, his family, his friends, hunting, fishing, riding his motor cycle, his vintage car, his annual hog hunting trip to South Carolina, shooting trap at the Black Lake Fish & Game Club and caring for others. He will be missed by all who knew him.
