Spencer S. Johnson

Spencer Seward Johnson of Morristown passed away on Friday, June 14, his 86th birthday, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on June 14, 1933, to Lloyd R. and Jennie McEwen Johnson. He attended Morristown Central School where he was active in the Morristown F.F.A. and athletics, especially basketball. He was an exempt fireman from the Morristown Volunteer Fire Department. During his life he owned two farms, worked for Skelly Contractors, and enjoyed farming, hunting, and fixing things. A marriage to Lois Langtry ended in divorce. He married Joyce Rebideau on September 5, 1975.

He is survived by his wife Joyce, three sons, David Spencer (Julie) Johnson, Andrew Scott (Jan) Johnson, Jeffrey Lloyd (Andria) Johnson, and one daughter Jennifer (David) Johnson Hunter. He also had nine grandchildren; Andrew Jr (Darci) Johnson, Brendan (Rachel) Johnson, Kamdyn Johnson, Hillary (Brett) Johnson Heaton, Sidney, Mia, Ava, Wyatt, Jade Johnson, and Xander Hunter. He had seven great-grandchildren; Addison, Olivia, London, Hendricks, Rowyn, Knox, and Declan. Besides these he is survived by three step-children; John Rebideau, Bill Rebideau, Michele Rebideau (Mark) Slobodjian, and their children Sarah & Bill Jr Rebideau and Dillon & Brittney Sobodjian. He is also survived by his brother Harold (Madge) Johnson.

He was pre-deceased by his parents, a brother Ross, his sisters and their husbands Frances & Morris Burwell, Cora & Alex Warren, Hannah & William Winter.
