Funeral services for Ronald E. Self Sr., age 53 of Ogdensburg will be held 10:00am on Wednesday (Oct 28, 2015) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor Reggie Curtis officiating. Burial will follow the service at Notre Dame Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2:00-4:00pm & 6:00-8:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mr. Self passed away at his home on Saturday (Oct 24, 2015) surrounded by his family.

Surviving is his wife Nancy; a son Ronald Self Jr & his companion Jamie King of Ogdensburg; daughters Crystal (Edward) Brossoit of Ogdensburg, Jessica Bond of Ogdensburg, Shelby Middlemiss of Lisbon and Amanda Self of Ogdensburg; two brothers Edward Self of FL and Michael Self of MD; sisters Brenda Self of VA, Wanda Self of NC & Lettie Self of MT; 19 grandchildren, James King Jr., Jesse, Cheyanne, William, Ronald, Michael, Edward Jr, Laura Lee, Angelena, Georgianna and Gabrielle Brossoit, Shelly (Cody) Gardner, Judith Ellison, Barbara Brossoit, Edward Brossoit, Skyler Self, Ronald Self III, Beverly Self & Jonathan Hamilton; 8 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews & cousins. An infant son Jeffrey Self predeceased him on Feb 25, 1986.

Ronald was born on April 11, 1962 in Winchester VA, a son of the late Edward & Janice (Mason) Self. He attended Virginia schools for his education. He later married Laura Willard, she predeceased him on March 16, 1995. He then married Nancy Loveless on July 6, 2000. He worked construction, drove taxi and did maintenance work for Claxton Hepburn Medical Center and Stewarts until becoming disabled in 2001.

He enjoyed listening to country music, going to camp, playing cards & bingo, going to the casino and spending time with his family.
