There will be no public calling hours. Mr. Carswell passed away at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse on Wednesday (Sept 19, 2018) surrounded by his loving family.
Surviving are his daughters Carol Carswell of Ogdensburg and Karen Carswell & her companion Lee Clark of Ogdensburg; his longtime companion Nancy Winters of Lisbon along with many dear cousins and friends.
Bob was born on August 16, 1938 in Ogdensburg NY, a son of the late Alban & Gladys (Martin) Carswell. He graduated from Lisbon School in 1955, and was married to Clara Flack for a brief time.
Bob worked on his family farm for many years in addition to hauling milk for Ray Burns and then driving school bus for over fifty years, starting with Flack Bus Lines, which has later been renamed to Laidlaw and First Student. He enjoyed boating, 4-wheeling with Charlie, puttering with machinery around the barn, visiting with others, especially coffee hour with his fellow bus drivers, and spending time with his family.
