Robert "Bobby" J. Stowell

Funeral services for Robert J. “Bobby” Stowell, age 51 of the Plimpton Road in Heuvelton will be held at 4:00pm on Thursday May 15, 2014 at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Stiles officiating. Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton.

Calling hours will be held also on Thursday from 12:00pm until the time of the service at the funeral home. Mr. Stowell passed away at his home late Monday night May 12, 2014 surrounded by his family.

Surviving is his wife Cecilia; a daughter Carmen Wahl of Rome; a brother Stephen Stowell of Chicago; grandchildren Kayden & McKenna Wahl; half-sister Karen Stowell of Rensselaer Falls; step-son Mitchel Willocks & his companion Stephanie Johnson of Bulls Gap, TN; step-daughter Nicole Kelley & her husband Nate of Harrisville; step-brother Wayne Stowell & his wife Jean of NC; step-sister Carrie Sherman of Buffalo; step-grandchildren Hannah, Madilyn & Lucas Kelley, Nolan Willocks and Cayden Johnson along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Bobby was born on June 24, 1962 in Canton, NY a son of the late Francis G. & Carmen (Townsend) Stowell. He attended Canton Central School for his education, and later became employed with Kraft Foods as a labor and then with Doyle Builders as a carpenter for 20+ years until becoming ill.

Bobby married Cecilia Simmons on June 19, 2010 with Pastor Ron Stiles officiating the couple’s marriage. He was a member of the Heuvelton AmVets Post 19; Boone Dockers Snowmobile Club and the Heuvelton and Rensselaer Falls Fire Departments. Bobby enjoyed hunting, camping, snowmobiling, NASCAR with Dale Earnhardt Jr. , helping others and spending time with his friends and family.
