Surviving is his wife Sally; three sons Wade Wood & his wife Evie of Lisbon, Schiel Wood & his companion Erica Henry of Massena and Greg Wood & his wife Sherrie of Lisbon; a sister Judith Griffith & her husband James of Potsdam; brother-law Karl Berg & his wife Ursela of Cherry Hill, NJ; a sister-in-law Carla Logston & her husband Terry of Canandaigua; grandchildren Stephanie Sovie & her husband Ryan, Derek Claxton & his wife Crystal, Jillian Henry-Wood, Declan Henry-Wood, Ashlyn Henry-Wood, Gregory Wood, Kallie Wood; great-grandchildren Lilly Wood, Nolan Wood & Evan Sovie; special nephews Michael Gregory & Victor Gregory along with many other nieces, nephews & cousins

A grandson Matthew Wood predeceased him.

Dick was born on April 14, 1940 in Ogdensburg NY, a son of the late Chester & Ruth (Bouchard) Wood. He graduated from St. Mary’s Academy and continued his education at Canton ATC. He later married Sally M. Berg in 1962.

During his career he worked at General Motors in Massena for 23 years where he was also the UAW Union President. He enjoyed welding, woodworking and assisting his sons with the family businesses.
