Linda "Lee" Burlingame

Funeral services for Linda “Lee” Burlingame, age 48 of County Route 6, Hammond will be held on Monday (October 8, 2012) at 11:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Nichols officiating. Burial will follow the service at the Edwardsville Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1:00-3:00pm at the funeral home. Lee passed away Tuesday (October 2, 2012) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester following surgery complications.

Surviving is her husband Brian; two sons Lance Lewis & his companion Peggy Benson of Cincinnatus, NY and Nicholas Burlingame & his companion Ally Welch of Endicott, NY; brothers Steven Lewis of Pitcher, NY, Dale Lewis, Daniel Lewis, Carl Lewis & his companion Jennifer and Roy Lewis all of Freetown, NY.

A brother Wesley Lewis Jr. predeceased her.

Lee was born on February 11, 1964 in Cortland, NY a daughter of Wesley & Linda (Clark) Lewis. She attended schools in Cortland and married Brian C. Burlingame on June 8, 1991 in Willet, NY. During her career she was employed as a licensed real estate agent in Cincinnatus, NY until she and Brian relocated to the north country and began the Lakeside Treasure's & Marina, and the Lakeside Lodge where she has made many friends.

She was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in her shop.
