Grace S. Rogers

Funeral services for Grace S. Rogers, age 96 of Ogdensburg will be held on Wednesday (Oct 31, 2018) at 11:00am at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Donna Fitchette officiating. Her place of rest will be at Foxwood Memorial Park.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday (Oct 30, 2018) from 12:00pm – 2:00pm & 4:00pm – 6:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. Mrs. Rogers passed away on Thursday (Oct 25, 2018) at Claxton Hepburn Medical Center with her son and daughter-in-law by her side.

Surviving is her son William (Linda) Rogers of Livonia NY, a daughter Lynne (Donald) Taber of Loxahatchee FL; grandchildren, Julie Wilk, Heidi (Michael) Rebilas, Scott (Chris) Rogers, Karin Rogers, Brian (Elise) Rogers, Katie (Hari) Dhurjaty, Caitlin Nothhard & Michael Nothhard; and many great-grandchildren.

Her husband William H. Rogers III, a brother Judson Stuart and a sister Marion Ledwith predeceased her.

Grace was born on May 28, 1922 in Chateauguay NY, a daughter of Gardner & Gladys (Tarbell) Stuart. She graduated from Franklin Academy High School and later married William H. Rogers III on February 01, 1941 at the Methodist Parsonage in Russell NY. Grace was a homemaker until her children were grown, and then she began her employment in the insurance business, first with Ernie Smith and then with Wilder & Forsythe.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Ogdensburg where she was active on many committees and she enjoyed sewing, cooking, bowling, watching movies listening to music and spending time with others.
