Funeral services for Francis C. Barber age 79 of Ogdensburg will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday (March 27, 2018) at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Smith officiating. Burial will be in the spring at Notre Dame Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held also on Tuesday from 12:00-2:00pm & 4:00-6:00pm at the funeral home. Mr. Barber passed away on Wednesday (March 21st) at the University Hospital in Syracuse surrounded by his loving family.
Surviving is his wife Carol; three sons Joseph, David & Larry Barber; two brothers Richard (Kim) Barber of Oswego, Earl (Cynthia) Barber of Texas; two sisters Beverly Schleicher of Oswego and Nancy (Thomas) Beckwith of Tennessee, brother-in-law Willis Lalone of Lisbon, sister-in-law Beverly (Arthur) Hunter of Lisbon and many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Francis was predeceased by his first wife Waverly; a brother Kevin Barber; three sisters Marion Herr, Madaline Saccocci and Mabel Lambo and a brother-in law Willard Lalone.
During his career he worked for the Carpenters Union # 322 as a construction worker for many years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, listening to music, watching wrestling and going to the casino.
