David McCadam

Graveside service for David B. McCadam, age 68 of Florida and formerly of Heuvelton will be held at 3:00pm on October 23, 2024 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton. Mr. McCadam passed away on October 29, 2023 in Sebring, Florida.

Surviving is his wife Barbara McCadam of Sebring, FL; step grandchildren Cody Smith and Maddison Dillon-Kinslow; along with many cousins and close friends.

David was born on June 10, 1955, a son of Stanley & Helen (Quille) McCadam. He graduated from Heuvelton Central School and continued his education at Ithaca College where he received a Bachelor’s degree.

During his career he worked in California for a short period, and then relocated to Florida to work with the NFL Alumni Association as an events promoter for sports.

David enjoyed going to Marco Island listening to the band Moonstone Riders. He was an alumni of the Heuvelton Central School Athletic Dept, and was a distinguished alumni recipient at HCS along with being a large contributor to Pickens Hall and the Heuvelton Fire Department. He was also instrumental in the signs that announced the lady bulldogs 3rd repeat state basketball championships and the athletic Hall of Fame and sports awards.
