David J. Margeson

Funeral services for David J. Margeson, age 85 of Spruce Street in Ogdensburg will be held on Tuesday (August 22, 2023) at 10:00am at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home with Rev. Carolyn Bartkus officiating. Burial will follow services at Hillcrest Cemetery in Heuvelton.

Calling hours will be held also on Tuesday from 9:00am until the time of the funeral service. David passed away peacefully at the United Helpers Spruce Street IRA facility surrounded by his caregivers.

Surviving is his brother Paul Allen of Tupper Lake. He was predeceased by his parents James & Doris Margeson.

David was born on July 7, 1938 in Phelps NY, a son of James & Doris (Mullet) Margeson.

David was an honorary member of the Rensselaer Falls fire department and cherished his numerous model fire trucks. He enjoyed socializing with other program members, staff and visitors at his home. He was very social, liked to dance, shopping, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, concerts and always had $2 in his pocket, just in case.

The staff at Spruce Street IRA were like family. He was known to frequently blow kisses and in turned was deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
