Christopher J. McNeil

Christopher J. McNeil, age 72 of State Hwy 37 Ogdensburg passed away unexpectedly on Sunday (December 8, 2024) at his home. Visitation will be held on Friday (December 13, 2024) from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the Fox & Murray Funeral Home. A short service will follow. Burial will be private at the Beech Plaines Cemetery in Pierrepoint.

Surviving are two sons James (Janell) McNeil of Ogdensburg, Jesse (Emily) McNeil of Pittsburgh, PA; sisters Katie (Dick) Kiah of Ogdensburg, Betty McNeil-Skiff of Potsdam, Mary Pastone of Clay, NY and Peggy (Greg) Macaulay of Clearwater, FL; grandchildren Luna & Zeke McNeil; special friends Connie Denny of Ogdensburg, Steve Gabri of Waddington and Tom McDougal of Morristown.

Chris was born on September 25, 1952 in Ogdensburg, a son of the late James & Norma (Henophy) McNeil. He graduated from Lisbon High School and married Patricia Dodd which later ended in divorce.

During his career he worked on his family farm and in 1995 he joined the Walmart team until he retired. He enjoyed gardening, chopping wood, playing with grandchildren and his pet cat “DJ”.
