Bill was born March 18, 1949 in Athens, Tx to B. M. “Moody” and A. V. “Polly” Tennison. He graduated from Permian High School in 1967. He attended Odessa College and received Refrigeration Certification. He met the love of his life, Lanna Edmondson, in the Fall of 1966. They soon married in the Summer of 1967. They recently celebrated 57 wonderful years together. They were the proud parents of their daughter Rhonda and son Richard.
After working for various employers such as El Paso Products and ICO, he ultimately retired from ECISD Maintenance Dept. He loved watching Westerns, Nascar races and football.
He is survived by his loving wife Lanna of Odessa, daughter Rhonda (Bobby) McKinney of Odessa, son Richard (Lori) Tennison of Odessa, Grandchildren: Aaron (Simon) Tennison of Austin, Brianna McKinney of Odessa, and Zachary Tennison of Odessa, Great Granddogs Beau and Bella, sister Sandra Love of Odessa, sister in Love Beverly (Homer) McCall of May, nephew Jeramy (Rebecca) Wright of Odessa, many other nieces, nephews, cousins, Aunt as well as many friends whom he considered as family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters Linda Williams and Betty Staton.
A visitation for William will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home, 601 North Alleghaney, Odessa, TX 79761. A graveside will occur Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at American Heritage Cemetery Funeral Home Crematory, 4100 FM1788, Midland, TX 79707.
Dr. Jimmy Braswell will officiate the service.
