Stanley Eugene Roper

Stanley was born to Hester and Willie Roper on August 22, 1943. He was a prominent businessman in Odessa for 45 years as owner and operator of Transmission Service and Supply. He had several hobbies, including woodworking and wood carving. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Stanley met his wife Mary in 1963 and they married two weeks later. They then spent 59 wonderful years together while raising 3 children, Kevin, Deidra, and Brent.

Stanley is survived by his wife Mary and three children, Kevin, Deidra, and Brent along with 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild on the way. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, Hester and Willie, his sister Deloris, and his brother Larry.

Stanley’s family will hold a celebration of life at the Odessa Country Club on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at 2 pm (Gilliam Room).
