Sherrill Lee Easley, 91, passed away on January 13, 2015. Sherrill was born on January 17, 1923 in Comanche, Texas to Luke Ellery Easley and Bernice (Bowers) Easley. He was preceded in death by his wife, and both of his parents. He graduated from Comanche High School in 1941. Sherrill married Lorene Marie Hicks on January 27, 1943. From growing up in the farm, Sherrill became a welder building ships during World War II in New Orleans, Louisiana. He got a job at Jones & Laughlin Supply Company. Sherrill worked his way up to his last position of District Manager for West Texas.
In 1978, Sherrill became a co-owner and President, of Desert Energy Equipment. He retired from the company at the age of 85. After that, he purchased a farm back in Comanche next door to where he grew up.
He is survived by his three daughters: Lana Westerfeldt (Jack) of Odessa, Kay Shrader (Newton) of Midland, Patty Bee (Mike) of Houston, Texas; four grandchildren, Janis Anderson, Julie Roberson, Vicki Bee, and Marc Bee. Additionally, he is survived by four great-grandchildren, Holly and Rachel Anderson, Kayla and Ryan Roberson. Sherrill is also survived by his three brothers, Arlis, Luke, and Harold Easley.
