He graduated from Colorado City High School and worked as a licensed electrician. He loved NFL football – especially his Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed BBQ’s with family and friends. He lived for snocones and grandkids. Rudy liked to joke around and laugh and his sense of humor helped him and his family get through some of the hardest times. He was an amazing husband and a great father who was always there for his daughters.
Rudy is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jolinda Molina, of Odessa; daughters, Sara Del Busto and husband Leonides Jr. of Lamesa, Elisha Borunda and husband Jaime of Odessa, Leanna Figueroa and husband Saul of San Antonio, and Alexis Torres and husband Joseph of Odessa; mother, Ramona Molina of Colorado City; siblings, Cristabel Marin and husband James of Midland, Sandy Martinez and husband Rumaldo of Colorado City, Emma Molina of Fort Worth, Juan Molina, Jr. and wife Alissa of Austin, Theresa Thompson of Colorado City, Mary Lou Regino and husband Sylvester of San Marcos, Robert Hinojosa and wife Juanita of San Marcos, Dora Munoz and husband Jose of Dallas, Velma Villalongin of San Marcos, Armando Hinojosa and wife Patricia of Corpus Christi, and Albert Casarres and husband Ray of Dallas; and eight grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Molina; birthmother, Regina Hinojosa; brother, Gilbert Casarres; and grandparents, Jesus and Jesucita Molina and Francisco and Catarina Granado.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 12-9 at Frank Wilson Funeral Directors with the Rosary being recited at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, May 7, 2021 at 2 PM at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with Fr. Bernadito Getigan officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Troy Maxwell, Eric Molina, Phillip Molina, Jesse Reyes, Zeke Garcia, Andy Caraveo, William Foster, and Ifrain Olivas, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.
