He was born November 1, 1928 to G. Dean and Merle (Green) Luker in Brownfield, Texas. He worked in the oil field for several years and became a welder. He owned his own welding shop in Ruidoso, N. M. until retirement. In his younger years he enjoyed water skiing.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandchild, Brandi Holder, two brothers, Raleigh and Bob Luker and one sister, Billie Boyd.
He is survived by two daughters, Reta Perdue and husband James of Odessa, Zelda G. Harmon and husband Kelly of Parma, Idaho, brother, Nealon Luker and wife Cheryl of Hobbs, N.M., sister, Reba of Seattle, Washington, grandchildren, Jeremy Denney and wife Kara of Justin, TX., Chad Denney of Odessa, Chris Perdue of Odessa, James Perdue and wife Lisa of Ft. Worth, great-grandchildren, Colton Denney of Justin, TX., Dylan Denney of Odessa, C. J. Perdue of Odessa, Jayli Perdue of Ft. Worth.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 1:00pm at Ector County Cemetery in the Rose Hill section.
