Rosie was born on July 29, 1947, to Torbio and Maria Delgado Fierro in Alpine, Texas. She attended schools in Odessa, Texas.
Rosie was united in Holy Matrimony to Bruno Cortez Jr. on February 14, 1974. They were blessed with two sons.
Rosie worked in the cosmetology business before becoming a nurse caretaker for many years. She was a spiritual woman and was previously involved in many church activities. She will be deeply missed by her friends, family, and all who knew her.
Rosie is proceeded in death by her parents Toribio and Maria Fierro, brother Jimmy Orozco, and grandson Aiden Cortez.
Those left to treasure her memory are her husband Bruno Cortez Jr., Sons Christopher and wife Kristin Cortez, and Bruno Cortez III. Sisters Lucy Hopkins, Mary Lou Merrill of Big Spring, Minnie Kikuchi and husband Y. Martin, brothers Sabas Fierro and wife Elfida, Juan Fierro and wife Teresa from Cedar Park and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation for Rosie will be held Monday, May 9, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, 1700 N Jackson Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A funeral mass will occur Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:00 AM at St Mary's Catholic Church, 612 E 18th, Odessa, Texas 79761.
Rosie will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E I-20 Business Loop, Odessa, Texas 79762.
