Robert Richmond Solomon

Odessa, Texas-Robert Richmond Solomon-87, died unexpectedly on October 18th 2022 at Madison Medical Resort. He was born on November 4th 1934, in Big Spring, Texas. He is the son of Robert James Solomon and Dorothy Burt Solomon.

He was a jack of trades with different jobs from construction to farming and became a firefighter for the Odessa Fire Department, retired 32 years. He was active within the Odessa Fire Department after retiring and enjoyed going to the reunions they would have annually. He was a member of the First United Pentecostal Church. Robert and Judy did a nursing home ministry throughout the years while they were able to. He married Judith Albrittion in 1968 with 4 sons, Richard, Charles, Rex, and Gary.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Judith Solomon and 2 sisters, Beverly Hall and Betty Wyatt.

He is survived by his siblings Bertha and Leo Rackley of George West Texas, James and Carol Solomon of Odessa Texas, Bonnie and Carl Chambers of Odessa texas, his nieces and Shelbi and Carlos Cervantes, Robbie and Tyrone Banks, Kerri and Darren Creech, his sons Richard Solomon and wife Phylis Solomon of Odessa Texas, Charles Solomon of Irving Texas, Rex Solomon of Irving Texas, Gary and wife Carrie Albrittion of Powderly Texas, his grandchildren, Amanda Solomon and her partner Misty Johnson of Odessa Texas, Sean Solomon Of Odessa Texas, Jaime and Ronnie Lauderdale of Odessa Texas, Kaci and Cesar Pando of Odessa Texas, Jennifer and Matt Long of odessa, and 10 great grandchildren.

A visitation for Robert will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Odessa Funeral Home, 1700 N Jackson Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 1700 N Jackson Ave, Odessa, Texas 79761. A burial will occur Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Ector County Cemetery, 300 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, Texas 79761.
