Ramona Carole Bomar, 70, of Odessa, a retired department store section manager, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2012 at the Hospice House. She was born October 2, 1942 in San Angelo to Marie (Baxter) & Phillip Donald Cass. The family moved to Odessa in 1952. She attended Odessa High School & graduated from Permian High School in 1961. In 1967 she married William Bomar and set up housekeeping in Odessa. They had daughters, Carole Diane & Leslie Susan.
Ramona worked in retail sales at G. C. Murphy, J.C. Penney, & Dillard’s Department stores before her retirement.
She was an avid art and crafter and collector along with her husband Bill. Her favorite role was being “Granny” to her two granddaughters.
She is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Bill of Odessa, daughters, Carole Diane Ames of Odessa, & Sgt. Leslie Sedlak of Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, granddaughters, Kelli Ames of Odessa & Ashleigh Sedlak of Ft. Leonard Wood, MO, cousin, Janet Hale & husband J. R. of Fredericksburg, TX. She also leaves her much loved pets & friends.
There will be a visitation 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, October29, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home.
Private services will be held at a later date.
