Pam Pickens Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend, went to be with our Lord June 5, 2011. Pam Was born in Borger, Texas on January 30, 1950 to J.H. (Jake) and Elva Thomas, she is a long time resident of Odessa and retired from the Texas Department of Transportation in 2006. She is Survived by her husband Johnnie Pickens of 45 years, her Daughter Sherri Miraglia and husband Chris, her son Tommy Pickens, and two grandchildren Keleigh McCurdy and Matthew Pickens all of Odessa. Her Sister Peggy Moran and Husband Phil Moran of Fritch, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She is proceed in death by her parents and sister Marlene Beavers of Plainview.
Pam was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who embraced life with a loving happy outlook. She saw the positive in everyone and all things she came in contact with through her faith in God. She truly believed that all things good come to those who love the lord. Her strength, courage and grace was a shining example for us all.
Pam has been fighting many ailments for the last several years of her life, throughout her battles she never complained and always wanted to put others needs before her own. Her top priority was to keep her faith and pray for all of those around her. She let her family and friends know how much she loved all of them and how thankful she was to have all them be a part of her life. Pam will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
