Owida and Joe were married June 20, 1950 in Bentonville, Arkansas. They were married 60 years.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In her life she demonstrated what James called “pure and undefiled religion” in James 1 verse 27. She was always willing to give her time to help others- a true servant of Christ.
She was well known for her cooking with friends and family commenting “Nobody cooks like Owida”. Her name evoked many questions to its origin- and the fact is she was named after an Indian Princess.
Owida loved her family and living life to the fullest. She will no doubt bring that same enthusiasm and joy to her new home in Heaven.
