Oscar Manuel Gonzalez

Oscar Manuel Gonzalez, age 60, passed away from this life on December 24, 2021. Oscar was born on February 21, 1961, in Lubbock, Texas to parents Manuel (deceased) and Oralia Gonzalez. He worked at a family owned business, Southern Maid Donuts, for over 40 years.

Oscar is survived by his mother, Oralia Gonzalez of Odessa and his beloved children Oscar Gonzalez, Jr. and Olivia Gonzalez; three grandchildren Sophia, Jonathan and Kevin Gonzalez. Siblings: Jesse Gonzalez, Lidia Gonzalez Ball, Oralia Yanez and her husband Frank, Hector Gonzalez, Cesar Gonzalez, Harvey Gonzalez and his wife Irene and Edgar Gonzalez and his wife Laura and numerous nieces and nephews.

Oscar was a very hard worker and he loved to go hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Growing up his favorite sport was baseball. Oscar had a heart of gold and was a very caring person. He will be truly missed.

The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 5-9 PM with the Rosary at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church followed by burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
