Mary Hackney

She was born March 25, 1925 in Olustee, OK to Kathleen and W.L. Bradley.

After graduating Odessa High, she attended Stephens College, Texas Tech, and University of Texas. She married Ted Hackney Jr. on February 19, 1950. Kay, as she was known by friends, was very involved in her community and church. She was a member of the Junior Service League. After the death of her husband, she took over ownership of Johnny's Barbecue. She enjoyed playing bridge and crossword puzzles.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brothers, Jack and Harry Bradley, and husband Ted.

She is survived by sons, Ted III and Bryan and daughter, Laura Horton, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 10am-12pm Monday, October 22, 2012 at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

Funeral service will be 2pm Monday, October 22, 2012 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with David Mossbarger officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
