Marilyn was born June 15, 1949, to Helen Marie and M.K. Main. She graduated from Permian High School in 1967.
Marilyn was a lifelong member of Connection Christian Church (formerly First Christian Church) where she sang in the choir and was Sunday school secretary for over 30 years. The church members became Marilyn’s extended family, and they continued their loving care for her until her death.
Marilyn had been a resident of Brookdale Sherwood Assisted Living facility for 20 years where she made friends, participated in various activities and kept her mind sharp by working jigsaw puzzles and countless word search puzzles. She was a Dallas Cowboys fan and never missed a game on television.
Marilyn is survived by her sister Linda Kay Robinette of Amarillo, a nephew Kenneth (Kerstin) of Broken Arrow, OK, a niece Jamie (Irvin) Nettles of Cedar Park, TX, and a great niece Kaitria Robinette of Tulsa, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Gail Ann Perry and brother Stephen Main.
Services to be conducted by Reverends Dawn and Joe Weaks are scheduled for Saturday, February 3, at 11:00 AM at Connection Christian Church, 4241 Tanglewood Lane, Odessa, Texas 79762.
Marilyn will be laid to rest in Sunset Memorial Gardens, 6801 E I-20 Business Loop, Odessa, Texas 79762.
