Maria was married to Salvador (Chava) Castillo for 63 years. The couple had four children: Rene Castillo (Diane), Carol Venegas (Late Husband Mike), Rosa Ochoa (Ramon), and Ageda Sanchez (Baltazar).
Maria loved her makeup, especially her signature bright red lipstick, dancing, jewelry, sparkle, glitter. She was a true fashionista! She also enjoyed cooking, eating burgers, and Sunday cruises with her husband visiting her kids.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, her 2 brothers and her 3 sisters.
She is survived by her husband Salvador and their 4 children.
Maria also leaves to cherish her memories 14 grandchildren: Becky, Valerie, Frank, Elias, Veronica, Erika, Mikayla, Ramon, Ashley, Michelle, Michael, Tiffany, Brandi, Aubrey, along with 24 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. And 3 sisters and 1 brother.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 from 9 am – 9 pm at Odessa Funeral Home with a Rosary being recited at 7 pm. Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 2 pm at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Burial will follow at American Heritage Cemetery.
Maria Castillo, age 85, of Odessa, Texas passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Maria was born March 24, 1937.
