He married Catalina Tarango on May 23, 2001 in Odessa. He worked for Bridges Equipment for over 20 years as a sandblasting and paint supervisor. He enjoyed doing mechanic work on everybody’s vehicles. Manuel was a very hard worker and loved all of his family. He also loved his Dallas Cowboys and was their biggest fan – but only when they won!
Manuel is survived by his wife of 21 years, Catalina Tarango; sons, Valentine Ramirez, Jose Tarango, Marcos Tarango, Joaquin Tarango and Hector Tarango; stepsons, Pablo Gutierrez, Hector Cano and Rudy Reyes; stepdaughter, Yvette Cano; brothers, Abram Fuentez, Ascension Contreras, Felix Tarango and Raul Tarango; sister, Guadalupe Tarango, 43 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gregoria (Fuentes) and Manuel Tarango; and daughter, Lynne Tarango.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 from 5-9 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at 10 AM at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home followed by burial at American Heritage Cemetery. Mark Vela, Angel Vela, Hector Cano, Emilio Tarango, Manny Ramirez, Jose Tarango, Vicente Tarango and Phillip Aguilera will serve as pallbearers.
