Majol was born in Sevier County near Gillham, Arkansas on July 29, 1924 to the late John Thomas Leeper and Lela Baxley Leeper. She lettered in basketball attending Lockesburg High School in 1940 and graduated from DeQueen High School in 1941. Feeling the call of patriotic duty to help in the war effort, she and some of her classmates moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut to work for GE assembling radios during WWII. She married Wilburn H. Lemley January 9, 1946; they were married for 59 years. Three sons were born after moving to West Texas living in kermit, Midland, and Odessa. She worked as a bookkeeper for Odessa HIgh School and owned and operated Table Manners Bridal and Gifts for 18 years. She was one week short of being a charter member of Crescent Park Baptist Church.
Majol is survived by one sister Ruth Beeson of Port Neches. Two sons, Gerry his wife Sherri of Midland and Joey his wife Shirley of Blackwell. Grandsons Chris Bone his wife Jennifer and Tim Kirby his wife Jessica both of Midland. Granddaughter Amber Hart her husband Angel of The Woodlands. Great grandchildren Dylan, Jake, Faith her husband Alex, Carson, Athen, Calem and Talis. Great Greatgrandchildren Derek, Kinley and Elena.
Majol is preceded in death by her parents, husband Wilburn, son Drexel, six sisters and 2 brothers, one being her twin that died at birth.
