Lucille Margaret Halbert, 93, of Odessa, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Medical Center Hospital. She was born November 18, 1921 in Healdton, Okla. She married Olen B. Halbert November 20, 1937 in Las Cruces, NM. Lucille affectionately known as Lucy was a homemaker and was a faithful member of Westwood Baptist Church for 47 years. She served her church family joyfully, taking meals to members and helping in various ministries. Lucille loved her family dearly and was known for her stubbornness and quit wit.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John & Lela Crutcher, her husband, Olen B. Halbert, brothers, Jimmie & Bill Crutcher, sisters, Syl, Kern, Clara Prati, Lydia Gray, her daughter, Sandra Yerby, & her grandson, Cory Gatlin. She is survived by her daughter; Pamela Jo Gatlin & husband Eddie of Odessa, her grandchildren; Courtney Mohesky, Todd Gatlin, Christian Gatlin, Mike & Jeff Yerby, & Kelly Blanco, & (4) great-grandchildren, Caroline Yerby, Jamie Whitman, Vinnie LaVelle & Sara Blanco.
Lucille will lie in state from 9am-9pm Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Weeks Dubose officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
