On July 22, 2015 Linda Fay Davis Sandell, 69, passed from this earth to be with our Heavenly Father. She died peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends. Linda was born November 25, 1945 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late Lionel & Vivian (Hair) Davis. She was raised in California and moved to Texas in 1972.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of 33 years & 26 days, Rickie Sandell; daughter, Brenda Ferrante; son, Stephen Cox & his wife Irene; son-in-law, Eddie Ferrante; grandsons, Jonathen Valencia and his girlfriend Gabbie Pineda, Michael Ferrante, Zach Cox, Jody Cox, Christopher Sandell and Ethan Sandell; granddaughter, Andrea Ferrante; and one great-grandson, Michael (Mikie) Ferrante. Linda is also survived by her sisters and their husbands, Kay & Bobby Idol of Vernon, TX, Judy Davis of Healdsburg, CA, Kathy Rowe & her husband Phil of Redding, CA, Lynn & Andy Mueller of Grass Valley, CA, & Jan & Tom Cardoza of Healdsburg, CA; She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend Jimmie McKinney.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Sue Urmann, her brother, Gordon Davis and her much loved dog, Max.
Linda loved her church, Life Change Baptist, and her church family. She was an avid reader and a solver of puzzles. She enjoyed garage sales and craft fairs. Linda collected lighthouses and cookie tins. She loved Elvis and going to the casino.
Linda worked at Delhi Oil and Gas (Texas Oil and Gas) and retired after 19 years. Linda also worked for Brownwood Hospital for 2 years. After 11 years of employment at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, she retired for good. Linda enjoyed her retirement years and loved being at home.
Linda otherwise known as Babe, Mom, Grandma, Linda Lou and Maxine, will be truly missed.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Friday, July 24, 2015 at Life Change Baptist Church with Leland Maples officiating.

It’s hard to describe Mom because there doesn’t seem to be words to find. She was a great woman, sweet and kind. She was so great, she had to leave this earth. Strong in the end as was at birth.
