Kenneth was born on November 26, 1955, in Iraan, Texas to his loving parents Earnest Loyd Boone and Margaret Evelyn Boone. He was raised in Odessa, Texas alongside his brother Keith and four sisters Patricia (Diann), Brenda, Sherry, and Ruth (Loraine). He attended Permian High School while simultaneously working in the oil field. Kenneth later obtained his GED and continued his education at Odessa College, where he received his Associate Degree in Applied Science. It was then that he met the love of his life, Belinda, who accompanied him on numerous adventures from Utah to North Carolina
Their experiences together, both wonderful and challenging, brought them even closer throughout the years. This union brought two beautiful additions to the Boone family--Jarred and Janelle, who joined sister Starla. Kenneth joined the police force where he remained employed for over 20 years before returning to work in the oil field. His greatest legacy is his three children; his eldest daughter Stare Coffee, son Jared Boone, and youngest daughter Janelle Boone. The legacy continued when he was also blessed with three grandchildren Madisyn, Ethan, and Wyatt whom he loved dearly and who affectionately called him Popo.
Kenneth was also a lover of music and animals and often spent his free time playing classic rock on one of his many guitars while his beloved pet cats relaxed beside him. When Kenneth wasn't playing the guitar he enjoyed working with his hands on simple household projects and was a firm believer in doing the job right or not doing it at all. This applied to his work ethic at his place of employment and attributed to his never-complain attitude and easy going nature. He always showed up to work with a smile which made him well liked and easy to get along with by both his co-workers and bosses. As much as he enjoyed his work, he enjoyed his recreational time even more. At every opportunity he would try to go fishing. It was an activity he loved sharing with his son even though his son typically caught more fish than him. On one occasion his son caught nine fish, with the tenth managing to get away, while he didn't get so much as a nibble. They both shared a fond memory that was accompanied by a joyful smile and occasional laugh when the tale was recounted.
One of Kenneth's greatest joys in life was to be outdoors amongst nature where he could breathe in the fresh air and enjoy his surroundings. He was close to retiring and dreamed of buying a large house with acreage so he could enjoy the scenery at leisure. Once he settled into his new home with his family he planned to experiment with BBQ recipes on his grill and eventually travel to the places he never had a chance to visit in his youth. The absence of his presence will be felt for years to come but pain is the price of love and he was definitely loved by his family, friends, and co-workers.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents--Earnest L. and Margaret E. Boone; sisters Patricia (Diann) Boone and Brenda Bryant, along with numerous aunts and uncles.
Hebrews 13:16 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to GOD.
