Judy Elaine “Turtle” Campbell, 62, of Odessa passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at her home with her daughter & husband by her side. She was born January 7, 1951 in Odessa to George & Rose Marie Renbarger. She married Lawrence Campbell October 18, 2008. She was a bookkeeper at Western Industrial Insulation.
She and her husband loved being outdoors, fishing & traveling. She loved being with her daughter, granddaughter, family & close friends & friends of Bill W.
After a long battle with ALS, better known as Lou Gerhig’s Disease, she met her Lord & Savior at sunrise, how appropriate as she once went by the nickname Sunshine. She loved everyone and had such a sweet, kind spirited soul. She never met a stranger and would help anyone in anyway. She served the Lord with all her heart and soul and was painstakingly awaiting her reunion with her Savior Jesus Christ.
She is preceded in death by parents George Avery Renbarger & Rose Marie Gerhart, and a sister, Betty Jo Waldrep. She is survived by her husband, Larry Campbell of Odessa, TX, daughter, Robbie Hager of Kyle, TX, brother, Eddie Renbarger of Colorado City, TX, sister Terena Renbarger of Odessa, TX & granddaughter, Chasni Hager of Kyle, TX.
A Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Kirk officiating.
The family would like to thank Hospice Midland for all of their help and compassion during this time.
