Joyce was born in Rankin, Texas on February 28, 1934 to the late Lourine and Reece Bevers. She graduated from Brownfield High School and married Bobby Glen Snedegar on June 16, 1953. They were married for 60 years.
She worked as a secretary and in the oilfield supply industry for 45 years. She enjoyed cooking, knitting, sewing, flower arranging, reading, writing short stories and poems, collecting antiques, and shopping. She was a member of the Amazing Ladies Hat Club. She had interest in and gave charitable support to veterans and law enforcement causes, and the Cal Farley Boys Ranch in Amarillo, Texas.
Joyce is survived by her children, Dennis Glen Snedegar, Catherine Lee Snedegar, and Mark Alan Snedegar; granddaughter, Jenifer Woods; great grandchildren, Sarrah and Reuben Woods; cousins, Leon Blevins and Vondee Mears; nephews, Michael and Kip Adams, Rick Bevers, Kenneth and Donald Wayne Daughtry, and their children; best friend, Carol Bushman; her Hat Club friends; and other friends and neighbors.
Joyce is preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Glen Snedegar; parents, Lourine and Reece Bevers; siblings, Fredrick Don Bevers, Reece Delbert Bevers, Carol Ann Adams Robardey; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Betty Daughtry; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Jean Snedegar.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, July 29, 2021 from 4-8 PM at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors. Graveside services will be Friday, July 30, 2021 at 10 AM at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
