Jean was born on February 17, 1931 in Alice, Texas. She married her "forever love," Harold Lecil Armstrong on November 5, 1949 in Granbury, Texas. They were married 71 years.
She was a member of Kingston Avenue Baptist Church for 64 years and served on more than 20 mission trips. Jean, also, worked as a telephone operator.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings.
Jean is survived by her son, Don (Sylvia) Armstrong; seven grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Home Hospice for all their help in her last days. It was an honor and a privilege for the family to have her at home to care for her in her last months.
A visitation for Jimmie will be held Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors, 4635 Oakwood Dr, Odessa, Texas 79761. A funeral service will occur Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Kingston Avenue Baptist Church, 5200 Kingston Ave, Odessa, TX. The burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens at 6801 E, I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762.
Serving as pallbearers are Jack, Aaron, Leevaughn, Zachary, Christian, Nate, Ethan, and J.R.
