Jerry F. Anderson Sr.

Early Sunday, March 7, 2010 our dad Jerry F. Anderson Sr. left us to go and be with the Lord.

Dad was born December 13, 1943 in Brownwood, TX to Brady and Cleo Anderson. He spent most of his childhood in south Texas until they moved to Odessa in 1957. He graduated from Ector High School and married our mom in 1962. They were married nearly 48 years. Dad worked for the Railroad for many years, but for the last 30 years or so was self employed and an accomplished businessman.

Dad was a Christian and a good man with a good heart. Dad loved to work, hunt, fish, and ride his Polaris Ranger and patrol the neighborhood. Dad loved the Lord, his family, church, friends, employees, and Pastor.

He is preceded in death by his parents & sister, Betty Jean Anderson.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Margaret Ann Anderson, son, Jerry Anderson Jr. & wife Lynette, son, Bill Anderson & wife Patricia, daughter, Molly Hernandez & husband Rodney, grandchildren, Jerry Don & wife Cassie, Betsy, Tommy, Laura Ashley, Ryan, & Kristin Anderson, Madison & Morgan Hernandez all of Odessa, his sister, Rebecca Knight of Port Lavaca, TX.

Dad loved to give and help with the benevolence and mission ministries at his church, Sunset Heights Baptist Church

In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Sunset Heights Baptist Church.

We will be receiving family and friends at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home at 601 N. Alleghaney from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 9, 2010.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Sunset Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Jess Little officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
