Javier Ibarra, or better known by his nickname Chuckman by his family, was born in Odessa, Texas on May 6, 1987. Javier was born to San Juanita and Jesus Ibarra. He was the youngest of 6 siblings. He and his family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas in 1988, where he would then be raised.
He attended Solomon Coles Elementary from kindergarten to fourth grade. Javier and his family would return to Odessa in 1997 where he attended Sam Houston Elementary for the remainder of his elementary school years and subsequently Bowie Junior High School. Javier proceeded to graduate from Odessa Highschool in 2004. Javier worked with his father at Eckel LLC., where he met Erlinda Carrasco.
They would spend 13 years of their lives’ loving one another. The two would create a loving household with each other and raise their beloved dogs Juice and Misty Su Hampton Ibarra. Javier was a lineman and worked alongside his older brother, Jaime Ibarra. Javier loved being around his family and looked after his nieces and nephews as if they were his own children. Javier spent a lot of his time with his older brother Benjamin Ibarra and their relationship was often described as that of best friends; more than simply brotherhood.
Javier’s vivaciousness and easy-going sense of humor are some of the characteristics that made him so memorable and loved. Javier had an adventurous and head-first personality and loved to try new things and see new places. He loved riding his motorcycle and taking his nieces on rides around the city. Javier was a straightforward man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved to have his family over at his house and have cookouts. His family loved his sense of humor and he loved playing pranks on his family members with his niece, Jessel Gutierrez. Javier was loved by many for the stand up man that he was.
He loved unconditionally and never judged anyone. He was the backbone to many people. Javier was understanding and sympathetic, and was always quick to help others in need. Javier left a huge impact in the lives of his loved ones. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten by family and friends; and we will keep his legacy alive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Ibarra and San Juanita Ibarra.
He is survived by Jesse Ibarra, Benjamin Ibarra, Jaime Ibarra, Angelita Riveria, Angelica Ibarra and Erlinda Carrasco. As well as his numerous nieces and nephews.
